Havent done it in a while, but I used to go to larosas on Mondays and/or tuesdays for "Sketti Night"
All you can eat spagghetti for like $5.00 (meatballs extra doesnt include drinks of course)
Quite a bargain, and pretty good "Sketti"
Amol India (chicken tikka masala...yum)
Carol's (overpriced, mediocre food)
LaRosa's (a most overrated restaurant)
LaMexicana (Monmouth Street, Newport. Big Ass Burritos served by people who don't speak our language. Waitresses have little or no idea what you're saying. Clientele usually most or all hispanic. My favorite dive.)
Habanero. (Because I like to support the local independent.)
Dixie Chili (Oddly, I usually eat a turkey sandwich there)
Anchor Grill (Pike Street, Covington. A dive that serves so unhealthy but wonderful goetta omelettes. Not a place for nonsmokers or clean freaks.)
Place I want to visit: Slim's. I've been craving the food, but no longer go now that they are not open at lunch. They also do a Cuban thing on Sunday morning/early afternoon, lechon asado. I'm also craving Dewey's Edgar Allen Poe pizza.

Actually, I may have made a mistake on mine.
I think there was a trip to Bob Evans in there somewhere.
(I'm not counting bakery trips and the like)

There is a "family restaurant" in Western Hills called Julie Marie's. It isn't a fancy place BUT they serve delicious food. And they have a variety of sugar free desserts that will melt in your mouth. Mr. Sluggo and I go there quite often. It was opened a couple of years ago in order to make the owners' daughter financially secure. It was also named for the daughter (she is mentally challenged and loves Elvis Presley. I believe that she is adult age and she is very friendly and, if you are ever over of the west side of town you may want to check it out. The food is very good and you will be helping a handicapped person. I don't know about you but I am a sucker for the handicapped.
On behalf of the P/C committee I have to caution you Sluggo "we" don't say "handicapped" anymore. It's either Mentally or Physically Challenged.
Say it wrong again and I will lobby to have you banned.
I MADE A MISTAKE!!!!!, GL.
At least I said "mentally challenged" the first time. And I apoligize for NOT saying the second but I plead forgetfulness! I AM OLD!!!!!!!!!! And, as such, you should have more respect for me.
If you are not more careful, I'll unadopt you!!!!!!!!!!
But un-adopting me means I get to lose JDF too so there is a silver lining I suppose.
GL - You are forgiven! [img]graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
